Steve Gilbert has called for action to finish St Austell station

St Austell's Prospective MP Steve Gilbert has called on Network Rail to "finish the job" at the town's railway station. The Lib Dem candidate has met with station and railway representatives on a number of occasions to push them for a time-line for finishing the multi-million project.

Steve said, "St Austell is Cornwall's largest town and it's time we got a station that reflects that. Despite millions of pounds of investment the promised lift between platforms for disabled passengers is still not finished, there is no waiting room on the up-side platform and the footbridge is in urgent need of repair. It's time Network Rail presented a plan for the completion of the works at the station."
