Mark Prisk MP - says one thing and does another?

Steve Gilbert, the prospective Liberal Democrat MP for St Austell & Newquay, has condemned Mark Prisk MP, the so-called Conservative 'Shadow Minister for Cornwall', for failing to back the people of Cornwall in a recent vote in the House of Commons.

Steve Gilbert said, "As Mark Prisk glad-hands it around St Austell on another tax-payer funded election junket the real question he should answer is why he sat on his hands in the House of Commons and refused to back a motion that would have seen a Cornish tick-box on the next census? Inaction last week has turned into sound-bites this week and shown yet again that the Conservatives offer nothing more than empty words for the people of Cornwall."

"I am proud to be Cornish born & bred and will write that in the census in 2011 tick box or, thanks to the Conservatives, no tick box."
